Position Summary

We are seeking a Data Analyst / MIS Reporting Specialist to support our business operations through data-driven insights and actionable reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and visualization skills, experience working with large operational datasets, and the ability to transform raw data into clear, business-relevant dashboards using Power BI.

This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, and Customer Experience to develop key performance indicators (KPIs), optimize reporting processes, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources (SQL databases, Excel, ERP systems, CRM, etc.).
  • Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to monitor operational and business performance.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of all reports and dashboards.
  • KPI & Performance Management
  • Define, develop, and track KPIs across business functions such as sales, customer service, and operations.
  • Perform trend, variance, and root-cause analysis to highlight key business drivers and risks.
  • Present insights and recommendations to management to support data-driven decisions.
  • MIS Reporting & Automation
  • Design and implement Management Information System (MIS) reports for periodic business reviews.
  • Automate recurring reports and streamline manual data collection processes to improve efficiency.
  • Support stakeholders with ad-hoc analysis and data requests.
  • Data Governance & Quality
  • Maintain documentation of data sources, report definitions, and logic.
  • Partner with IT/data engineering teams to ensure robust data pipelines and quality assurance.
  • Implement standards and best practices for data visualization and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business analytics roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, visualization best practices).
  • Proficient in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and aggregation.
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros preferred).
  • Experience building KPIs, dashboards, and reports for operational and management audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and storytelling skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ETL tools or data integration.
  • Exposure to AWS or cloud-based data environments is a plus.
  • Background in operations, customer service analytics, or financial reporting.
  • Certification in Microsoft Power BI or Data Analytics is a strong advantage.
