**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with accounting principles.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Manage the payroll process, including the calculation of salaries, deductions, and taxes.
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Prepare financial analysis and make recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and accounting standards.
- Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations.
- Provide guidance and support to other departments on financial matters.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant in the contracting industry in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus.
