**The key attributes and expectations of a good Chief Accountant are**:

- Prepare/manage of accounting, financial and tax reports (including TP) for both statutory (Cyprus and UAE) and Group level;
- Determining of accounting approach for key Company's transactions in line with local GAAP/legislative requirements;
- Supervising the routine accounting task in the department on day-to-day basis, including: supervising of document work flow and timely recognition of transaction in accounting system;
- Review of journal entries, performing reconciliations of general ledger accounts;
- Ensuring timely closing of accounts;
- Providing guidance to other accountants when needed;
- Ensuring effective distribution of responsibilities between accountants.
- Supervising Team of accountants
- Communication with government/ tax authorities (including preparation writing official responses) in case receiving requests, tax audit and etc;
- Creating seamless communication with other departments of the Company;
- Interfaces with auditors for all matters related to financial audit of consolidated FS;
- Proactively monitor business, tax and other regional specific legislation;
- Optimization of the accounting process, design and continuous improvement and implementation of accounting policies;
- Participation in cross-functional teams to help drive organization efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement;
- Prepare/assist with monthly financial budget preparations.

**Qualifications**:

- Complete higher Accounting or Finance education;
- Experience as a Chief Accountant or Deputy Chief Accountant at trading companies of comparable scale for a minimum of 4 years;
- Fluency in English both spoken and written is a must for communication within the group;
- Hands-on experience in internal controls design and implementation;
- Proficiency in IFRS will be an significant advantage;
- Knowledge of Cyprus and UAE accounting and taxation legislation - will be an significant advantage;
- Proficient user of finance software;
- Strong ability of analytical thinking, teamwork, managing, and negotiation skills with the drive for results;
- Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used;
- Critically thinking mindset, analytical and problem-solving skills.
