Recruitment of Ambassador’s Residence Staff

The Role
The Embassy of Japan in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced and diligent staff to work at the Official Residence of the Ambassador. The staff is expected to work together with other staff at the residence to ensure upkeep of the facility and implementation of functions at the residence. Key Responsibilities Overall management of the residence and upkeep of the facility - Working together with other staff of the Residence to continuously identify needs for repair, cleaning or check-up of the various parts/installations in the residence, then facilitate appropriate follow up action through the Embassy staff. - Working together with other staff of the Embassy to ensure that supply of water, cleaning material and other instruments necessary for upkeep is procured and maintained. - Working together with other residence staff to ensure that the residence is kept clean, tidy and hygienic. The staff is expected to share the burden of daily cleaning and to set an example to others. Implementation of functions at the residence - Working together with other staff of the residence to make arrangements for functions organized at the residence such as receptions and dinners, etc. - Working together with the Embassy staff to procure and maintain necessary goods/equipment etc. for executing functions at the residence. - Working together with other staff of the residence to provide hospitality to those visiting the residence including provision of fine dining, food and beverage service.
**Requirements**:
- Experience at VIP residence or hotel for a certain period, preferably more than 5 years. - Completion of a formal hospitality training course is desirable. - Writing/reading proficiency in English. Proficiency in Japanese is a very significant advantage. - Ability to work as a team with other staff of the Embassy. Being honest and respectful to others. - Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to hard work. - Ability to learn from experience. - Communication with others and ability to work together as a team. Starting time of work: Mid to late April, 2025 (Expected date)
