Knowledge and Experiencee
- Degree in accounting, finance or relevant field
- 10+ years accounting experience
- Proven experience as an accountant / cost accountancy
- Steel background an absolute must
- Excellent organizing abilities
- Leadership qualities and effective teamworking skills.
- Great attention to detail
- Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
- Expertise with SAP or any other leading ERP system
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Managing team of 3-5 jr. accountants, bookkeepers, and clerks
- Delegation and assignment of daily duties and responsibilities within finance team

**Job Requirements**:

- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
- Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Manage financial systems and budgets
- Undertake financial audits
- Provide financial advice
- Liaise with clients and provide financial information and advice
- Review the company’s systems and analyse risk
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
- Preparation accounts for monthly/yearly closings
- Assist with other accounting projects
- Ensure that statements and records comply with laws and regulations
- Inspect account books and accounting systems to keep up to date
- Organize and maintain financial records
- Improve businesses efficiency where money is concerned
- Make best-practices recommendations to management
- Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues and improve profits
- Ad-hoc queries as required by management or peers
