The Structural Engineer will be responsible for performing structural analysis, designing of RCC and steel engineering structures, and ensuring compliance with UAE industry standards and regulations. This role involves utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed structural designs and coordinating with various teams throughout the project's phases. Responsibilities Project Design: - Perform structural analysis and design for various building types and infrastructures. - Develop detailed structural drawings and specifications using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Prokon, Safe, Etabs. - Ensure designs comply with UAE local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices. - Provide technical input for project planning and development. - Apply for and obtain necessary authorities approvals in compliance with UAE regulations. Project Execution and Coordination: - Conduct site visits to assess project requirements, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance. - Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, MEP Engineers, and project managers to integrate structural design into overall project plans. - Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met. - Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications. - Participate in project meetings, presenting design solutions and addressing technical queries. - Provide technical support during construction, addressing any structural engineering issues that arise. - Perform quality control checks to ensure the integrity and safety of structures. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. - Professional Sharjah Municipality certifications or licenses (G+4 minimum) in structural engineering (e.g., PE, SE) or civil engineering are required. - Professional experience in Dubai with Municipality. - 4+ years proven experience in structural analysis and design, with strong knowledge of structural engineering principles. - Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, particularly AutoCAD and Revit. - Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAFE, PROKON). - Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. - Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and safety regulations. - Experience in preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, and specifications. - Understanding of UAE local regulations and the process for obtaining authorities approvals.
