STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is the in-house engineering business line of Structural Group. SIMCO TECHNOLOGIES is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in the United Arab Emirates based out of our Dubai office. This position is a growth opportunity for an aspiring leader and will focus on concrete repair and rehabilitation work across the Middle East. Collectively, SIMCO TECHNOLOGIES with its partners in Middle East form the most advanced and technologically integrated concrete specialty repair solution provider in the United Arab Emirates and the GCC region in general. Our integrated investigate-design-build teams identify problems, create repair solutions, and implement repair projects for owners in commercial, industrial, power generation, and other key markets. At SIMCO TECHNOLOGIES, we spend our time working with our fully integrated repair companies to perform field investigations and develop repair solutions for existing structures and buildings. This position will be a role that requires in-depth knowledge of how concrete structures are designed and behave, including: industrial and power-generating buildings and structures; dynamic equipment foundations; and environmental (liquid-retaining) structures. Position Requirements - Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) or an equivalently recognized accreditation. - 10+ years of applicable experience - Master's or PhD degree in civil or structural engineering - Advanced knowledge of concrete deterioration mechanisms - Advanced Experience of concrete repair design - Enthusiasm and curiosity for solving problems and understanding how things work - Solid understanding of how structures behave - Experience with Finite Element Analysis Software such as SAP2000, RISA, or STAAD - Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or other BIM software - Technical accuracy in design - English proficiency Responsibilities - Manage engineering projects internally, including teams of engineers, drafters and technicians - Analyze field data to facilitate problem solving and repair design - Perform and review analyses using a combination of hand calculations and finite element analysis software - Be responsible for preparation of client deliverables, including construction drawings, specifications, and written reports Preferred Skills And Certifications - - Ability to travel for site visits - Arabic proficiency is advantageous - Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills Our ideal candidate is a positively focused, professional with a desire to grow and be a technical resource in the field of civil/structural engineering.
