Synopsis

As part of the new cargo terminal project, the Document Controller plays a critical role in ensuring seamless coordination and traceability of all project documentation. Their work supports timely decision-making by maintaining organized, accessible, and compliant records throughout the construction and commissioning phases. Accountabilities
- The Document Controller may produce and/or compile or assist in completing any one of the following:
- Receives and Distributes including: scans, indexes, files, tracks and archives all Program related documents (hardcopy and electronically) such as letters, internal memos, transmittals, submittals (i.e material submittals, inspection requests, material inspection requests, documents submittals, method statement, RFIs, drawings) and other related documents
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely receipt, review, and distribution of cargo terminal project documents including construction drawings, permits, and compliance records.
- Maintain a dedicated filing system and tracking log for all documentation specific to the new cargo terminal, ensuring alignment with project timelines and audit requirements.
- Support the handover process by preparing well-organized document packages for final submission to stakeholders upon terminal commissioning.
- Ensures all document control activities adhere to the document control procedures Scanning, indexing and logging incoming and outgoing documents into Open text Livelink
- Assisting the Program staff to familiarize themselves with Open text Livelink
- Ensuring efficient retrieval and tracking of Program documents, both electronically and in hard copies
- Ensuring that reference materials are properly maintained in the Program Technical Library
- Support records management needs for all projects during the closeout and archiving phases
- Maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive and confidential documents.
Education & Experience
-
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years in a similar role within aviation or airport operations.
- Experience in integrated reporting platforms combining multiple software applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
About Etihad Airport Services- Cargo
Etihad Airport Services Cargo is the sole cargo handling provider at Zayed International Airport, Abu Dhabi.
We serve the cargo needs of more than 25 online carriers and many more offline carriers through Road Feeder Services. EAS Cargo provides import and export services and comprehensive logistics processes for airlines, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders.
The current cargo terminals at Zayed International Airport cover 41,000 sq m of storage facilities that offer a full range of cargo services, including a fully equipped perishables center, temperature-controlled rooms, pallet screening, state-of-the-art CCTV for valuable cargo, and 24/7 end-to-end cargo support, including build and break, documentation, airside transports, special product handling, including perishables, and pharmaceuticals. Our innovative systems allow track and trace through our cargo facilities, better control of short connecting shipments, and real-time status updates.
We are the cargo handlers for the Abu Dhabi F1 event and other special projects. With its strategic location in Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airport Services Cargo plays a vital role in facilitating global trade and connectivity, serving as a key hub for air cargo operations in the region.
