Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-orientedPattern Mold Makerwith a background inautomotive parts,mold design, andcomposite materials. This is acontract-based, per-project positioninDubai, ideal for a hands-on fabricator who understands the end-to-end process of making composite-ready pattern molds.

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for fabricatinghigh-quality pattern moldsused in carbon fiber manufacturing. These patterns will be produced using two methods:

1. From an original client part, where a direct pattern mold is fabricated manually
2. From custom-designed parts, which are 3D scanned, reverse engineered, and 3D printed as large, assembled components to be finished and converted by you into a smooth, accurate mold

Your work is essential in preparing durable, clean, and production-ready surfaces that can handle the demands ofcarbon fiber layup and curing.

Responsibilities:

- Interpretphysical partsto create accurate pattern molds
- Work with various materials such ashigh-density foam, MDF, resin board, 3D printed components, tooling paste, or epoxy
- Shape, sand, seal,paint, and finish molds to ahigh-quality surface standard
- Plan formold release angles, flanges, and structural integrity
- Addresscuring, shrinkage, reinforcement, and potential material issues
- Collaborate with the3D scanning and CAD teamto align physical molds with reverse engineered or designed parts

Requirements:

- Minimum2 years of hands-on experiencein mold making, especially for automotive or composite parts
- Strong manual fabrication skills sanding, shaping, bonding, and finishing
- Knowledge of suitable pattern mold materials:MDF, PU foam, tooling board, epoxy, 3D printing resin, etc.
- Skilled in preparing molds withsmooth, glossy, or ready-to-tool finishes
- Familiarity withcarbon fiber layup processes, such aswet layup,vacuum bagging, androom-temperature or heat curing
- High attention to detail, especially regardingsymmetry, alignment, and sealing
- Comfortable working on-site inDubaias required

Bonus Skills:

- Knowledge ofgel coat spraying,release agents, andhigh-temperature mold resins

Compensation:

- Per-project basis
- Payment depends oncomplexity, size, materials, and duration
- All terms will be clearly discussed and agreed upon before starting each project
