Job Purpose: 1. Structural Calculations and Analysis: - Conduct thorough structural calculations and analysis for metal structures. - Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. 2. Design Verification: - Verify and validate structural designs for metal components and assemblies. - Review design drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility. 3. Report Generation: - Prepare detailed reports on structural calculations, design validations, and compliance. - Document findings and recommendations for project improvements. 4. Project Involvement: - Participate in design-and-build projects from concept through to completion. - Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure project requirements are met. 5. Drawing Preparation: - Generate and review short drawings and technical schematics for metal structures. - Ensure that drawings reflect accurate dimensions, materials, and structural details. 6. Fabrication Oversight: - Oversee the fabrication process to ensure adherence to design specifications. - Address any issues related to metal structure fabrication and provide solutions. 7. Quality Assurance: - Perform inspections and assessments of metal structures to ensure quality and safety standards are met. - Implement corrective actions as necessary. 8. Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with designers, fabricators, and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address technical concerns and provide updates. - 4+ years of experience in structural engineering, specializing in metal structures. - Skilled in structural engineering software and tools. - Expertise in metal structure design, fabrication, and quality control. - Capable of creating detailed structural drawings and reports. - Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or related field. - Experienced in design-and-build projects and fabrication. - Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
