The Director of Medical Services is responsible for the scope and quality of the student Medical Services, including:

  • Ensuring the provision of high-quality medical care in accordance with legal, ethical and accrediting body (AAAHC) standards, including culturally appropriate services that align with the diversity of students at Colorado State University
  • Planning, delivery, and evaluation of Medical Services in accordance with college health best practices, community partner networks, and regional peer institutions
  • The appropriate credentialing, privileging, and continuing medical education for all medical providers
  • Management of Medical Services' budgets and staffing in alignment with operational need and responsible fiscal management
  • Integrated case management with adjacent CSU Health Network services (e.g., Mental Health Services)
  • Ensuring appropriate medical structure and consultation is in place for the CSU Mountain Campus
  • Engage in medical consultation for the Semester at Sea program
  • Consultation and planning for campus' public health response as needed
