Job Title: Automation SpecialistJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation systems, including building management systems (BMS), power supply systems, and extra-low voltage (ELV) systems.The Automation Specialist will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all works related to automation systems within the project site. This includes reviewing design and shop drawings for automation systems, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements and standards.Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate all works related to automation systems within the project siteReview design and shop drawings for automation systems to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements and standardsCoordinate system integration between BMS and HVAC, lighting, electrical, safety, and process systemsOrganize and manage subcontractors and suppliers for automation works to ensure timely and high-quality executionReview and approve material submittals, method statements, and ITPs for automation systemsSupport the development of control logic diagrams, SCADA user interfaces, and sequence of operationsPlan and organize daily and weekly activities of subcontractors executing automation systemsInspect and verify installation quality, conformity to approved drawings, and adherence to manufacturer specificationsEnsure that all connections, terminations, grounding, and protective devices meet safety and operational standardsConfirm completed work quantities and verify subcontractor progress for interim and final paymentsCoordinate delivery, storage, and handling of electrical and automation equipment on-siteMaintain daily records and prepare site reports outlining progress, quality status, and technical issuesOrganize and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for automation systemsSupervise pre-commissioning and commissioning of BMS and ELV systems, ensuring all parameters meet project and authority requirementsVerify programming, configuration, and integration of control systemsOversee testing and handover of fire alarm, CCTV, and access control systems in compliance with Civil Defense and authority regulationsEnsure preparation, verification, and submission of as-built documentation for automation systemsPrepare system test reports, punch lists, and ensure closure of all deficiencies before project handoverRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Communications from a recognized universityEquivalency Certificate from the UAE Ministry of Education – mandatoryMinimum 7 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in the UAE within general contracting or EPC companiesProven experience in design, installation, and commissioning of BMS, SCADA, ELV, and power systemsStrong technical knowledge of IEC, ADDC, NFPA, DEWA, KNX, BACnet, and Modbus standardsExperience with major automation platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, Tridium)Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Project, and Microsoft OfficeExcellent analytical and communication skillsFluent in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher); Arabic is an advantageBenefits:Guaranteed timely payment of wagesHiring as a company employeeProbation period adaptation programLocation: Abu Dhabi, UAE
