Energy Systems Automation Specialist

As a configuration engineer, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of energy systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAutomation System Design: Develop and implement substation automation systems for optimal monitoring, control, and protection functions in electrical substations.Cybersecurity Measures: Configure PC networking, switches, routers, GPS, firewalls, and ensure robust cybersecurity within substation systems.Engineering Documents: Prepare and approve key engineering documents, including FDS, System Architecture, Signal Lists, and Bills of Materials.Testing and Commissioning: Develop testing and commissioning documents, including FAT, SAT, test reports, and schedule plans.Cybersecurity Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cybersecurity measures into substation automation architectures.Network Segmentation: Implement network segmentation, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure remote access solutions.Stakeholder Engagement: Work with stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity requirements are incorporated into substation automation projects and system upgrades.System Optimization: Parameterize substation automation systems for optimal performance and seamless integration.Training and Support: Plan and conduct training sessions and customer presentations to support the deployment and adoption of our systems.In this role, you will be part of a team that is committed to building a better future.
