The AssistantRestaurant Manager at Tortilla Restaurant plays a key role insupporting the overall management and operation of the restaurant.This position involves assisting the restaurant manager inoverseeing daily activities ensuring exceptional customer servicemanaging staff maintaining high operational standards and drivingbusinessgrowth.

Responsibilities:

  • Assistthe restaurant manager in supervising and coordinating theactivities of frontofhouse and backofhouse staff to ensure smoothoperations and excellent customerservice.
  • Monitoringand managing inventory levels to ensure availability of ingredientssupplies and equipment necessary for smoothoperations.
  • Trainmentor and motivate staff on restaurant policies procedures andcustomer service standards ensuring consistentadherence.
  • Monitorand manage customer satisfaction promptly addressing any concernsor complaints to ensure a positive diningexperience.
  • Collaboratewith the restaurant manager in implementing strategies to drivetransaction growth increase average order value (AOV) and achievesales growth likeforlike (LFL) and managing P &L.
  • Supportthe restaurant manager in analyzing financial reports sales dataand operational metrics to drive revenue growth and costefficiencies.
  • Assistin scheduling staff optimizing labor costs and ensuring appropriatecoverage during peak hours and specialevents.
  • Oversee healthand safety (H&S) protocols ensuring compliance a safeworking environment and effective accident/incidentmanagement.
  • Assistin recruiting hiring and onboarding new staff members conductinginterviews and managing the administrationprocess.
  • Monitorand control stock levels implement stock rotation procedures andminimize wastage to maximizeprofitability.
  • Collaboratewith suppliers to manage deliveries monitor dispatch times andensure timely receipt of quality ingredients andproducts.
  • Assistingin managing the delivery dispatch process to ensure orders aredispatched in a timely and efficientmanner.
  • Collaboratingwith the kitchen and service teams to ensure prompt preparation andpackaging of deliveryorders.
  • Monitoringthe order queue and assisting in assigning delivery drivers basedon availability and proximity to the deliverylocation.
  • Monitoringand managing the average preparation time for delivery orders toensure timely and accurate orderpreparation.
  • Overseethe overall running of the restaurant ensuring smooth operationsefficient service and effective communication between staffmembers.
  • Managecustomer satisfaction by monitoring service quality response timeand complaint management striving for continuousimprovement.
  • Collaboratewith the restaurant manager to develop and implement trainingprograms performance evaluations and recognitioninitiatives.
Requirements
  • Provenexperience in a supervisory or assistant management role in therestaurantindustry.
  • Strongleadership and organizational skills to assist in managing a teamand overseeing restaurantoperations.
  • Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills to interact with staffguests andvendors.
  • Exceptionalcustomer service skills with a passion for creating a welcoming andmemorable diningexperience.
  • Indepthknowledge of restaurant operations including frontofhouse andbackofhouseprocedures.
  • Familiaritywith financial reporting sales analysis and cost controlmeasures.
  • Abilityto remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situationswith professionalism anddiplomacy.
  • Knowledgeof health safety and sanitation regulations in a restaurantenvironment.
  • Proficientcomputer skills for pointofsale systems inventory management andschedulingsoftware.
  • Flexibilityto work evenings weekends and holidays asrequired.
  • Abilityto lift and carry moderate weights and stand for extended periods.Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays asrequired.
  • Knowledgeof Tortilla Restaurants menu brand and service standards are anadvantage.
