The Nursing Analytics Manager at TMO plays a key role in driving organizational excellence by meticulously managing nursing data and ensuring the integrity of critical information. This position oversees the collection, validation, and maintenance of diverse nursing and quality datasets, including those related to productivity, scheduling, and NDNQI reports. By analyzing this data, the manager identifies key trends and metrics that are vital for strategic decision-making, enabling the department to respond effectively to emerging challenges and opportunities. This role fosters a culture of continuous improvement by providing actionable insights that inform operational adjustments and long-term planning. Regular audits uphold data quality standards, supporting adherence to established management protocols and enhancing the overall quality of nursing care. The manager also works closely with nursing leadership and departments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reporting, offering recommendations for performance improvement. Moreover, the manager delivers detailed insights and performance recommendations, which are crucial for achieving strategic objectives and pursuing initiatives such as securing Pathway to Excellence Certification. This position is essential for leveraging data-driven approaches to optimize nursing operations, support governance standards, and ultimately improve patient care outcomes across Sheikh Khalifa Hospitals. Through the effective use of analytics, the Nursing Analytics Manager ensures that the organization remains responsive, efficient, and committed to the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Management and Integrity: Oversee the collection, validation, and maintenance of nursing data and quality datasets, including productivity, scheduling, and NDNQI reports, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  2. Data Analysis and Trend Identification: Analyze nursing and quality data to identify key trends, metrics, and insights that support strategic decision-making and respond to emerging challenges and opportunities.
  3. Performance Improvement: Provide actionable insights and performance recommendations to nursing leadership, supporting operational adjustments and long-term planning aimed at improving nursing performance and quality of care.
  4. Audit and Compliance: Conduct regular audits to ensure data quality standards are upheld, promoting adherence to established management protocols and enhancing the overall quality of nursing care.
  5. Collaboration with Leadership: Work closely with nursing leadership and other departments to ensure timely, accurate reporting of nursing data and provide recommendations for performance improvement.
  6. Strategic Reporting and Initiatives: Deliver detailed insights and performance recommendations to achieve strategic objectives, including initiatives like securing Pathway to Excellence Certification.
  7. Optimization of Operations: Leverage data-driven approaches to optimize nursing operations, support governance standards, and improve patient care outcomes across Sheikh Khalifa Hospitals.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by using analytics to drive decisions that enhance operational efficiency, staff performance, and patient care quality.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN). Master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, MBA, health care informatics or Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Experience: 7 years of experience in nursing, including not less than 2 years' experience in healthcare analytics, ideally with a focus on nursing or patient care data. Strong understanding of hospital operations, quality improvement processes, and healthcare regulations.
  3. Certifications: Certification in Nursing Informatics or Data Analytics, such as Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) or Certified in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), is beneficial but not mandatory.

Key Skills:

  1. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel.
  2. Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) such as Cerner or Epic.
  3. Ability to analyze complex data, create reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
  4. Ability to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights from complex data sets.
  5. Proficiency in analyzing nursing staff ROTA and productivity data.
  6. Knowledge of nursing and healthcare key performance indicators, including patient outcomes, safety, and efficiency metrics.
