Roles and responsibilities

We are looking for a seasoned productmanager who can support our payments team, product team. The idealcandidate has a product mindset and is able to drive discovery anddelivery processes. Preferably with a travel background and a goodlevel of understanding of technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratewithin an integrated team (UX, Product, Tech) to create newfeatures across web, mobile, and native app platforms, ensuring aconsistent user experience.
  • Use analyticalmethods to focus on high-impact solutions for identified problems,delivering maximum value to users and thebusiness.
  • Translate customer and business goalsinto measurable results throughout the product life cycle, trackingprogress effectively.
  • Collaborate with otherproduct teams for expansion into new verticals, leveragingopportunities for synergy.
  • Work with Marketing,Content, Finance, Data, and Business Operations to implementenhancements efficiently.
  • Actively participatein ongoing qualitative and quantitative research to pinpoint andprioritize customer problems, driving productimprovements.
  • Conduct A/B tests using toolssuch as to enhance features, maximize product value, andimprove the user experience.
  • Translateexperiment findings into user stories and criteria for smoothimplementation by development and QAteams.
  • Drive team performance using scrumpractices, ensuring quality and timelydelivery.
  • Lead scrum ceremonies and processesto ensure high-quality and timelydeliveries.

ProfileRequirements:

  • Bachelor'sor Master's degree in Business, Computer Science,Engineering, or related field.
  • Provenexperience (min 3 years) as a Product Manager, demonstrating atrack record of successful product launches andimprovements.
  • Exposure to fintech,understanding the intersection of financial technology and travelservices, with a grasp of innovative payment solutions and theirintegration into travel products.
  • Stronganalytical skills including proficiency in SQL for data analysis,experience in reading and interpreting data from Tableaudashboards, and capability in navigating Google Analytics.Proficiency in Google Analytics event creation is aplus.
  • A data-driven approach todecision-making, leveraging insights derived from variousanalytical tools to make informed and insightful productdecisions.
  • Experience in translating datainsights into actionable product improvements, iterating based onuser behavior and market trends to drive productsuccess.

1.Payments IndustryKnowledge

  • PaymentSystems : Understanding various payment methods suchas credit/debit cards, e-wallets, bank transfers, ACH, and newersolutions like cryptocurrencypayments.
  • PaymentGateways : Experience with payment gatewayintegrations (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Square, Adyen), andunderstanding the technical, security, and compliance aspects ofthese systems.
  • Global PaymentEcosystem : Familiarity with global payment systemsand how they work across different regions, along with cross-borderpayment challenges.
  • Regulationsand Compliance : Knowledge of financial regulationssuch as PCI-DSS, GDPR, PSD2, and KYC/AML compliance related topayment processing.

2.Product Strategy andDevelopment

  • ProductRoadmap : Defining and managing the product roadmapfor payment solutions, prioritizing features, and aligning theproduct's strategic direction with thecompany's overall businessobjectives.
  • FeatureDevelopment : Designing, developing, and enhancingpayment features (e.g., payment gateways, fraud detection,multi-currency support) that meet customerneeds.
  • MarketResearch : Conducting research on emerging paymenttrends, competitor analysis, and customer pain points to driveinnovation in paymentsolutions.
  • StakeholderManagement : Collaborating with internal teams(engineering, operations, marketing, legal) and externalstakeholders (payment service providers, banks, fintech companies)to deliver the product.

3.TechnicalExpertise

  • APIIntegrations : Understanding API design andintegration for payment solutions, working closely with engineeringteams to integrate payment systemsseamlessly.
  • Fraud Prevention andSecurity : Expertise in fraud prevention tools,security protocols (e.g., 3D Secure, tokenization), and compliancewith security standards likePCI-DSS.
  • Technical ProblemSolving : The ability to troubleshoot technicalissues, work with development teams to address payment failures,and optimize payment flows for reliability andspeed.

4.Customer-CentricApproach

  • UserExperience (UX) Design : Understanding the userexperience in the payment process, ensuring ease of use,transparency, and minimizing friction during paymenttransactions.
  • CustomerFeedback : Gathering feedback from users andcustomers to improve payment features and ensure that the solutionsmeet userexpectations.
  • Optimization :Continuously analyzing the payment process to improve conversionrates, reduce cart abandonment, and increase overall customersatisfaction.
