Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior IT Governance Specialist who will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with UAE and international regulations, developing IT governance frameworks, and managing the IT and Security Risk Governance Committee.

The successful candidate will interpret data and provide insights that drive key business decisions, while ensuring the efficient and secure migration of IT systems and data.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IT governance frameworks and procedures in line with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, international regulations, and ISO standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate IT and security risks.
  • Develop and maintain compliance documentation and reports.
  • Coordinate with different IT departments and business units to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate IT governance training and awareness programs for employees.
  • Manage the process of technology selection, customization, and deployment.
  • Report on IT governance performance to senior management and stakeholders.
Migration and Digital Transformation Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards during IT system migrations and digital transformation projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management plans for migration projects.
  • Collaborate with international teams to address region-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement governance frameworks for new digital initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years in IT governance, risk management, and compliance roles, with a strong focus on UAE regulations, international regulations, and ISO standards.
  • Proven experience in setting up and running IT and Security Risk Governance Committees.
  • Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent.
