About The Role:

We are seeking a Planning Engineer to join our team based in Abu Dhabi, reporting directly to HOD - Planning. Your main missions and responsibilities will be to establish a planning system according to project specifications, and prepare and maintain a valid overall project schedule using Primavera, MS Project etc. as per project/client requirements.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a planning system according to project specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain a valid overall project schedule.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation on planning and scheduling progress.
  • Manage and coordinate activities with regard to budget, cost control, change order administration and review.
  • Assist Project Manager in preparing, submission and tracking invoices/payments.
  • Develop FEED, EPCM and EPC contract schedule, level 2 control schedule, manpower deployment schedule and histograms, equipment deployment schedule (if applicable), progress s-curves, level 3 working schedule.
  • Identify project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and targets to determine staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project through the project measurement system.
  • Implement work schedule and monitor progress of work for timely execution of project through daily/weekly/monthly reports with respect to review of overall project.
  • Progress monitoring of specific projects on a regular basis. Anticipate and resolve any problems, bottlenecks/scheduling conflicts.
  • Prepare and maintain package work plans and monitor progress to achieve on time or earlier deliveries to keep the project on schedule.
  • Coordinate internal project team reviews followed by an approval and review by the client of work schedule, progress measurement and reporting systems. Review status reports, modify schedules and plans as required and keep management and Project Manager apprised of the progress on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of bachelor's degree in mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Industrial Engineering from a recognized University or Colleges. PMI Certification will be advantageous.
  • Have an experience in the Middle East and with ADNOC Companies as an added advantage.
  • Possess working knowledge of engineering project sequence and experienced in working on engineering projects.
  • Be proficient in the Software: Primavera P6, MS Project and Microsoft 365 applications.
