Job Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical oversight and guidance to project teams on subsea cables and umbilicals, ensuring adherence to project requirements and specifications.
  • Supplier Management: Evaluate suppliers' technical proposals, align them to project needs, and prepare bid evaluation reports.
  • Communication and Coordination: Serve as a liaison between internal departments (engineering, supply chain, quality/HSE, project management) and external stakeholders (clients, vendors).
  • Cost Estimation and Resource Management: Develop cost estimates, timeframes, and resource allocation plans for subsea cables and umbilicals packages.
  • Training and Mentoring: Train and mentor junior resources on subsea cable and umbilical best practices, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development within the team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in subsea power and communication cables and umbilicals, or 12+ years in a lead role.
  • Deep understanding of subsea cable and umbilical design, manufacturing, testing, and EPCI project phases (FEED, bid, detail engineering).
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and best practices for subsea cables and umbilicals.
  • An Engineering Degree (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
  • Proven track record of executing EPCI projects for Middle East clients (Saudi Aramco, QP, QG, ADNOC).
  • Experience with subsea flexible pipes and valves is desirable.

Estimated Salary: AED 250,000 - AED 350,000 per annum

Location: UAE, Sharjah
