Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis: Examine and record financial actions performed in the workflow, routing to auditors as necessary.
  • Bank Account Reconciliation: Reconcile complex bank accounts in various currencies, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Payroll Processing: Assist in the processing of monthly payroll closing, cost-of-living adjustments, and AP accounting, including calculating, inputting, and checking payments for correctness.
  • Pension Payments: Assist in processing payments to UNJSPF beneficiaries for their entitlements, including payroll and miscellaneous payments.
  • Communication: Draft and prepare communication to UNJSPF pension beneficiaries and relevant work units, printing and mailing mass communication letters as necessary.
  • Customer Service: Respond to queries from staff members and third parties, providing timely and accurate assistance.
  • Data Analysis: Assist with the collection and analysis of data, preparing data presentations and reports for information sharing and decision-making.
  • Visualizations: Assist with visualizations and updating information material, such as web pages or brochures.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, finance, or a related area is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to three for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of financial rules and regulations, accounting policies, and practices. Ability to maintain accurate records, interpret and analyze data, and identify and resolve discrepancies.
