Job Title: Specialist HSE Technical Safety

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Specialist HSE Technical Safety to join our team at ADNOC. As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Environment Division, you will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating work environments, designing programs and procedures to control and prevent disease or injury, and conducting inspections to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work Environment Review and Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of work environments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Program and Procedure Development: Design and implement programs and procedures to control and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents or ergonomic factors.
  • Inspections and Compliance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise the activities of assigned personnel and develop training programs to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment Scope of Works: Develop Health, Safety, and Environment scope of works for consultants and contractors.
  • Environmental Management Systems: Ensure project environmental management systems are in compliance with HSE Impact Assessment (HSEIA & EIA) codes, HSEIA guidelines, and project-specific HSEIA report recommendations.
  • Safety and Environmental Standards: Develop and update safety and environmental standards, procedures, and guidelines in conformity with company policies.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment Audit Programs: Develop and update the division's health, safety, and environment annual audit programs and training programs for all areas.
  • Document Management: Administer health, safety, and environment documents and records to ensure compliance with integrated management system requirements.
  • Design Review and Approval: Review the design work of consultants to ensure conformity with company safety requirements and scope of works.
  • Quality and Standards: Review the work related to safety and environment of design consultants/contractors and ensure that requisite quality and standards are maintained and adopted.
  • Participation in Studies and Reviews: Participate in Hazop, environmental, safety studies, accident investigation, and other report reviews for all projects.
  • Technical Evaluations: Participate in technical evaluations of technical submittals by tenderers for new projects.
  • HSEIA Approval Process: Enhance the approval process of the health, safety, and environmental impact assessment study (HSEIA) for new projects.
  • Annual Sustainability Report: Lead the preparation of the annual sustainability report to the health, safety, and environment division - corporate support directorate.
  • ADNOC Guidelines and Codes of Practice: Lead, develop plans, and coordinate resources for the implementation of all ADNOC guidelines and codes of practice related to health, safety, and environment.
  • Site Support: Provide guidance and support to construction and commissioning at site on safety and environmental matters.
  • Technology and Regulations: Ensure that state-of-the-art technology is applied in the selection of safety equipment and both local and other statutory regulations are applied in the projects.
  • HSE Document Review and Endorsement: Review and endorse the HSE documents submitted by consultants.
  • Site Visits: Regularly visit project sites and ensure that health, safety, and environment systems are fully implemented in accordance with the company's HSE requirements.
