Bloomberg L.P. is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Equity Researcher to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an Equity Strategist, you will be responsible for providing in-depth research and analysis on emerging market equities, covering fundamental and thematic issues driving these markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and publish data-driven research reports on emerging market equities, highlighting key trends and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Bloomberg Economics, Bloomberg New Energy Finance, and Bloomberg Index, to integrate regional market analysis into our emerging market and global equity allocation frameworks.
- Conduct regular analysis of macroeconomic data and earnings trends impacting key markets and sectors within your regional coverage.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including long-only investors, hedge funds, and asset owners, to provide tailored research and insights.
- Stay up-to-date with market developments and trends, and adapt research to reflect changing market conditions.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Finance or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a publishing investment strategist covering equities, sectors, or themes with a major sell-side or economic research firm.
- Proven ability to generate data-driven analysis of equity markets and strong focus on quantifiable results.
- Direct experience building a differentiated franchise or research product to serve a diverse client base.
- Strong relationship network among market participants, including long-only investors, hedge funds, and asset owners.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, with a strong media presence.
- Strong organization skills and ability to set priorities, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional critical thinking and desire to be an integral part of a fast-growing team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with the Bloomberg Terminal.
- Sell-side or buy-side experience.
- Familiarity with equity market indices and econometric data sets.
- High attention to detail and demonstrable research and analytical skills.
- Programming experience in languages such as Python, MATLAB, or R.
- Advanced degree and/or CFA, CMT designation.
