The Assistant Housekeeping Manager - Team Lead is responsible for leading a skilled team of housekeeping staff in a luxury hotel environment. This role requires a high level of motivation, leadership, and continuous learning and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists the Department Head in motivating and developing a skilled team, leading by example and instilling a culture of continuous learning and improvement among employees.
- Participates in Employee Relations activities and programs, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Identifies and assesses the needs of employees, providing effective coaching, training, and career development opportunities.
- Ensures the department is organized and efficient, maximizing productivity and achieving established goals.
- Promotes harmony between departments, fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment.
- Displays warmth, care, and enthusiasm when interacting with guests and internal customers, embodying the Four Seasons' Golden Rule.
- Demonstrates standards awareness, setting examples for standards execution, testing, and implementing action plans to achieve product and service goals.
- Assists the Department Head in preparing annual plans, forecasts, and managing expenses to meet departmental budgetary goals.
- Maintains organized administration of departmental and personnel records, including rostering and leave planning.
- Ensures employees adhere to the code of conduct and grooming and hygiene standards as specified in the employee handbook.
- Conducts daily briefings and monthly departmental meetings, participating in meetings as invited.
- Provides regular and fair performance feedback to employees and the immediate supervisor, formally and informally as appropriate.
