About the Role

We're looking for a seasoned Backend Engineer to join our team at Revolut. As a Java Lead Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading high-performing teams, designing solutions, and driving technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor backend engineers, providing guidance on best practices and technical decisions
  • Participate in performance reviews and build growth plans for engineers
  • Design, document, and implement solutions using Domain-Driven Design, CQRS/ES, and event-driven architecture patterns
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve engineering processes and raise the bar on quality and efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Fluency with Java
  • 8+ years of experience in backend development
  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in computer science, maths, physics, or a similar area of study
  • Proven track record of contributing to process improvements, as well as mentoring and training team members
  • Expertise in Domain-Driven Design principles, practices, and patterns
  • Experience with scalable distributed systems
  • Knowledge of different architectural patterns
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices
