Role Overview:

The Lead Printing Technician is responsible for overseeing the operation of printing machinery and ensuring high-quality output. This role involves:

  • Receiving and reviewing job orders from the press supervisor, providing feedback as necessary.
  • Preparing machine settings, including color and paper size, based on job specifications.
  • Efficiently setting up jobs on the machine, ensuring readiness within tight timelines.
  • Performing color matching in accordance with provided samples.
  • Addressing and resolving minor to moderate printing issues as they arise.
  • Conducting regular reports on machine performance to monitor waste, quality, and speed.
  • Reporting any equipment malfunctions to senior management for prompt resolution.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the machinery to ensure optimal working conditions.
  • Conducting pre-production checks on the machine to guarantee quality standards.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess:

  • A degree in Printing or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience operating printing machines, particularly in the plastic card or high-tech printing sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of UV printing processes and ink mixing techniques; experience with rainbow printing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in operating multi-color printing machines (6 colors or more).

Compensation:

Salary ranges from 3500 AED to 4000 AED, with additional benefits including accommodation, overtime allowances, and transportation provided.
