Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies: Establish and maintain a comprehensive safety, quality, and environmental management system that meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Provide Technical Direction and Leadership: Provide guidance and support to employees on safety, quality, and environmental issues, and ensure that all employees understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Supervise Personnel and Establish Support Contracts: Supervise and manage a team of employees responsible for implementing safety, quality, and environmental programs, and establish support contracts with external vendors and service providers as needed.
  • Develop Long-Range Technical and Administrative Plans: Develop and implement long-range plans and strategies to ensure the effective management of safety, quality, and environmental risks, and optimize budget allocations for the department.
  • Ensure Compliance with Applicable Statutes and Regulations: Ensure that all safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures are compliant with applicable statutes and regulations, and maintain effective legislative and regulatory monitoring and response.
  • Identify and Mitigate Safety, Quality, and Environmental Risks: Identify and mitigate safety, quality, and environmental risks associated with company facilities, programs, and activities, and maintain effective spill and clean-up, permitting, remediation, and monitoring programs.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure the effective operation of the safety, quality, and environmental management system.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as safety, environmental, engineering, or a technical field.
  • Experience: A minimum of seven years of industry experience, with at least two years of experience as a formal supervisor.
  • Certifications: ISO Auditor Certification, ASP, or CSP.
  • Licenses: Valid driver's license.
