Position Overview

The Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the effective planning, organization, and execution of a premier site operation for a significant modernization initiative. This individual will be accountable for overseeing site activities and documentation, ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety (EH&S) standards, quality assurance (QA), and quality control (QC) protocols as stipulated in the contract and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate comprehensive coordination of all project activities.
  • Manage shared access to work areas among various teams.
  • Ensure compatibility in product selections.
  • Oversee the establishment of temporary facilities and controls.
  • Schedule and authorize interruptions to both permanent and temporary utilities as needed.
  • Coordinate construction efforts with other contractors working on adjacent sites.

  • Attend and contribute to Combined Contractors' Meetings for effective sequencing and coordination.
  • Document construction progress through photography.

  • Establish and maintain permanent benchmarks and control points on site.

  • Manage cutting and patching activities.
  • Ensure protection measures for the project site are in place.
  • Coordinate the completion of interrelated tasks and documentation.
  • Prepare and submit Record Documents and operation manuals.
  • Compile and submit complete sets of record documents from various contractors.
  • Coordinate the preparation of operation and maintenance manuals integrating information from multiple contractors.
  • Schedule and manage mechanical and electrical activities.
  • Facilitate access for mechanical and electrical contractors.
  • Oversee the integration of mechanical and electrical work in confined spaces.
  • Ensure protection for the work of mechanical and electrical contractors.
  • Prepare coordination drawings for mechanical and electrical installations.
  • Manage testing and inspections for mechanical and electrical work.
  • Oversee temporary services and facilities for mechanical and electrical work.
  • Supervise the installation team and ensure compliance with project documentation under the guidance of the Program Manager.

Essential Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of project coordination and documentation processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to documentation.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in security screening and explosive detection systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Proven experience in site implementation and program completion.
  • Familiarity with airport operations and electromechanical installations is advantageous.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to stakeholders.
  • Experience managing teams of at least six personnel.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Acrobat Pro, and MS Outlook.
  • Willingness to relocate as necessary and possess a valid driving license.

Desirable Skills:

  • Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Familiarity with project management software such as Primavera.
  • Knowledge of financial principles and project management certification (PMP) is a plus.
  • Understanding of key business metrics and airport installation processes.
  • Experience in various technical areas including electrical, mechanical, and civil works.
