Job Summary:

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled BIM Manager to lead our landscape design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating multidisciplinary teams involved in landscape projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Support: Provide front-line project-specific support to design teams, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of landscape design projects.
  • Capacity and Capability Assessments: Conduct thorough capacity and capability assessments for task teams, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance productivity.
  • Training and Development: Develop comprehensive training plans that cater to different learning styles and needs, ensuring that team members have the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
  • CDE Systems: Provide support in using CDE systems like ProjectWise and ACC, ensuring seamless collaboration and data management.
  • Software Development: Create detailed training manuals and tutorial videos for software like Civil 3D, Revit, etc., enhancing team members' proficiency in these tools.
  • BIM Modeling: Create landscape BIM models and drawings within Revit/Civil 3D to fulfill client requirements from LOD 100-LOD 350, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Clash Detection: Conduct clash detection processes using Navisworks/Revizto, identifying and resolving conflicts to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Workflow Management: Manage workflows and processes in CAD and BIM, optimizing team productivity and efficiency.
  • Template Development: Create new templates based on program/project requirements, ensuring consistency and accuracy in deliverables.
  • Team Leadership: Direct the production staff on assignments, coordinate resources for single or multiple disciplines on a program or project, and supervise model detailing to ensure clarity and consistency throughout plans.
  • Model Review: Review models for compliance with digital production usages, ensuring high-quality deliverables and responsible for the quality of models developed.
  • CAD and BIM Libraries: Develop and maintain CAD and BIM libraries, continually advancing the platforms' efficiency and utilization, and supervise catalogue development and use.
  • Compliance and Standards: Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies, and become familiar with various standards and codes such as ISO 19650, etc.
  • Schedule Development: Develop the baseline schedule for teams at the start of each task, track progress of task assignments vs original baseline schedule for the team, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of landscape design projects.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering/Architecture/Landscape/Urban Planning/Urban Design from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum eight (8) years demonstrable experience of BIM/CAD design production and previous working role as a BIM Coordinator, Sr. BIM Specialist, in managing and coordinating multidisciplinary teams involved in landscape projects.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth working knowledge of current Autodesk products such as but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil3D and Revit with proficiency in BIM/CAD processes, experience with BIM/CAD instruction and training, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred Skills: Automation skills such as Revit API, Dynamo, AutoCAD Automations LISP, Macros, in-depth knowledge of CDE Project Setups, ISO BIM Workflows and Industry standard BIM and CAD, familiarity with international standards related to BIM/CAD, such as ISO 19650.
