Job Summary:

The Senior Piping Engineer will be responsible for designing and detailing piping systems for oil and gas facilities and modules. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and detail piping systems for oil and gas facilities and modules.
  2. Prepare and review inputs required for bids and proposals.
  3. Issue engineering drawings for Inter Discipline Check (IDC) and coordinate with other engineering disciplines to close any technical issues.
  4. Extracting of piping deliverables such as Isometrics, Nozzle orientations drawing (NOD), and Piping GAD MTO through CAD Worx or other drawing software.
  5. Perform related duties as and when directed by Direct Supervisor.
  6. Data consistency check and resolving clashes to ensure the model is clash free.
  7. Analyzes the effect of proposed changes for proper form, fit and function; recommends solutions regarding cost-saving design practices and procedures as related to the project; modifies drawings and models as required; confers with engineers to resolve issues and offers alternate solutions.
  8. Meets all deadlines as required by project schedule and assists other Designers to meet their deadlines.
  9. Prepare and review As-built drawings.
  10. Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects at a time.
  11. Coordination with other Engineering Discipline Engineers and Designers.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent in mechanical or Computer Aided Design technology and at least ten (10) years in designing and detail engineering of piping systems for oil and gas facilities and/or modules.
  2. Strong preference for previous oil & gas experience with gas processing engineering and design.
  3. Strong self-starter skills and ability to perform successfully with limited supervision.
  4. Ability to manage complex technical requirements and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful delivery of engineering deliverables (on time, within budget).
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work closely in a team environment with all internal/external stakeholders.
  6. Entrepreneurial attitude, aptitude for innovation and long-term career interests.
  7. Working knowledge of compression, power generation, and/or offshore oil and gas applications.
  8. Proficient using 3-D CAD design and complete Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), and email system.
  9. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
