Key Responsibilities

The Financial Controller plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial, management, and job costing functions of the organization are executed efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

Financial Management

  • Supervise the company's accounts and ensure timely preparation of financial reports.
  • Organize the flow of accounts information and prepare annual statutory audits.
  • Liaise with external auditors and assist in preparation and accomplishment.
  • Participate in special accounting/administrative projects initiated by Regional/Head Office.
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly reporting, analysis, and interpretation of financial information.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Supervise a team of accounting and administration personnel.
  • Implement Company management systems within the department.
  • Preview and analyze management accounts data with Profit Centre Managers.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure all contracts and business dealings are in accordance with established Company practices and local laws.
  • Review insurance coverage and ensure adequate coverage for the company.
  • Research area taxation requirements and ensure timely and complete compliance.

Collaboration and Support

  • Provide guidelines and assistance to other Business Units as requested by Regional/Head Office.
  • Assist or liaise with other Financial Controllers as necessary.
  • Assist Managing Director with legal issues as required.

Requirements


• Recognized qualification as an accountant

• Minimum 10 years relevant experience.

• Strong management skills.

• English language proficiency.
