About the Role:

The Food Safety and Quality Controller plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality products to customers. This involves monitoring production processes, inspecting plant facilities, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure they meet food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement effective food safety and quality control procedures to minimize defects and contaminants.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure they meet food safety and quality standards.
  3. Conduct regular audits to evaluate the effectiveness of food safety and quality management systems.
  4. Liaise with local authorities to resolve non-compliance issues.
  5. Monitor temperature-controlled areas to ensure product quality.
  6. Supervise cleaning and laundry staff to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
  7. Train employees on good hygiene practices (GHP) and food safety principles.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Food Technology/PG Degree.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes from farm to fork.
  • Proficiency in auditing techniques.
  • Understanding of risk management principles.
  • Product knowledge and understanding of quality, food safety, halal, and BRC requirements.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and reading skills in English.
  • Able to deliver training sessions to staff.
