Role Overview

The Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing inventory processes within the organization. This position is essential for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and guide team members on inventory management protocols, including the creation, review, and receipt of orders.
  • Conduct scanning of all incoming deliveries while vendors are present, focusing on accurate receipt of products and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Verify all shipments for pharmacy products under the guidance of the pharmacist-in-charge, ensuring accurate postings of orders and reporting any issues.
  • Oversee the On-Shelf Availability (OSA) process, managing warehouse and direct store deliveries, and ensuring timely disposals and returns.
  • Conduct pharmacy inventory activities, including recalls and returns, while maintaining compliance with relevant policies.
  • Execute pricing activities, ensuring accuracy in price changes and markdowns across departments.
  • Support ordering processes by monitoring inventory levels and managing consigned items.
  • Maintain updated records of pull and quarantine items, ensuring proper placement in designated areas.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding inventory management.
  • Assist in preparing for physical inventory audits and support related activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory areas.
  • Provide training and support to team members on inventory systems and procedures.
  • Act as a point of contact for communication between management and team members, addressing any issues that arise.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a retail environment.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in identifying and resolving operational challenges.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in a leadership role or as a pharmacy technician is advantageous.
