**Job Overview**

Wood is seeking a skilled Static Equipment Specialist to join our team in Reading, UK. As a key member of our FEED project team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the design and procurement of static equipment for our clients in the oil and gas, refinery, and petrochemical industries.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and maintain data sheets for pressure vessels, including reactors, columns, and drums, storage tanks, and heat exchangers.
  • Prepare enquiry requisitions for Long Lead Items and evaluate equipment suppliers' bids.
  • Conduct technical reviews and evaluations of equipment suppliers' bids and prepare bid evaluation reports.
  • Provide support and advice on static equipment matters, including budgeting and estimating.

**Requirements**

  • Extensive experience in a contracting environment, working with pressure vessels, storage tanks, and heat exchangers on FEED and EPC projects.
  • Strong mechanical design skills, with experience using PV Elite or other commercially available software packages.
  • Knowledge of thermal design using HTRI is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flexible attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
