About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative pastry menus that meet Jumeirah's high culinary standards and guest preferences.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Menu Development: Create and implement new pastry menus that showcase your creativity and expertise, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of pastry chefs and bakers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage pastry ingredient and supply inventory levels, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing waste.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to uphold Jumeirah's standards of excellence in pastry production, including taste testing and visual inspections.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as Jumeirah's internal policies and procedures.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in pastry techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles, incorporating them into menu development when appropriate.
  • Guest-Centric Approach: Foster a guest-centric approach to pastry production, soliciting feedback, and making adjustments as necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
About You:

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Executive Pastry Chef with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in upscale or luxury hotel pastry kitchens. You should have strong leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team of pastry chefs and bakers to consistently achieve excellence.

You should be flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing hospitality environment. A genuine passion for pastry and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences are essential.
