Job Title: Senior Advanced Process Control APC Engineer

MatchaTalent is seeking a highly skilled Senior Advanced Process Control APC Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for streamlining Advanced Process Control (APC) objectives with corporate goals and developing programs, best practices, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance APC and economic performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • APC Strategy Development: Analyze data from various sources, including process variables, instrumentation, and control systems, to identify improvement opportunities and develop inferential models (linear and non-linear) to enhance refinery operations, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • APC Implementation: Implement APC strategies, conduct feasibility studies, and establish new business cases to optimize refinery operations and maximize desired product yields.
  • Process Optimization: Conduct pilots and evaluate new APC technologies such as Real-Time optimization, Machine Learning, and AI to contribute to yield improvement.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise to operating facilities' Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams through consulting, awareness sessions, and participation in technical exchanges and conferences.
  • Leadership: Lead technical sessions such as design reviews, model reviews, and commissioning, and conduct periodic assessments and evaluations to gauge the performance and effectiveness of real-time optimization solutions.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the optimization team (Real-Time optimization engineers, Simulation engineers, and automation engineers) to ensure optimization requirements are met.
  • Economic Benefits: Monitor economic benefit Key Performance Indicators and provide recommendations.
  • Standards and Guidelines: Review standards and General Instructions on behalf of the GME departments and act as a leading Subject Matter Expert (SME).
