Key Responsibilities:

  1. Consultation and Diagnosis: Consult with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns, and make informed diagnoses to develop effective treatment plans.
  2. Prescription and Treatment: Prescribe tests, treatments, and/or surgery, when necessary, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  3. Medical Record Keeping: Maintain detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests and/or treatments prescribed, and test results.
  4. Diagnostic Testing: Perform tests, when needed, to check the health of patients' hearts and/or cardiovascular systems.
  5. Test Result Interpretation: Interpret test results to determine how effectively the heart and/or cardiovascular system is functioning.
  6. Medical Imaging: Use medical imaging equipment, such as CT and MRI scanners, to diagnose and treat heart and/or cardiovascular conditions.
  7. Surgical Assistance: Assist and/or perform surgery, which may include complex surgical interventions that require a team of medical professionals.
  8. Medication Prescription: Prescribe medication to treat heart and/or cardiovascular disease.
  9. Patient Support: Provide support and advice to patients receiving long-term care.
  10. Training and Education: Train and provide educational support to junior staff, when necessary.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
  2. Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
  3. Residency Training: 3 to 7 years' internship and clinical residency training, specializing in cardiology.
  4. Licensure: Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE).
  5. Certification: Certification by The American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiology and/or a sub specialty, such as cardiovascular disease, or interventional cardiology.
  6. Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, outstanding hand-eye coordination, wonderful bedside manner, excellent communication skills, and the ability to empathize with patients.
  7. Flexibility: Flexible working hours.
