Job Overview

The RBWM Finance Unit is responsible for managing all finance-related activities for the Bank's RBWM business, focusing on performance management, planning, budgeting, and financial reporting. The unit provides support to the Finance team in various areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with key stakeholders within the Segment teams (Mass, Priority, and Business Banking) to ensure that management information remains relevant and aids decision-making.
  • Research and resolve data issues and answer finance-related queries from Business Heads and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the AVP-Business Finance CWM and Segment heads to develop a robust and ambitious medium-term strategy covering all key opportunities and risks.
  • Establish a planning framework linking to the medium-term strategy and enabling modeling of key drivers of revenues and costs.
  • Establish alignment between Product and Segment revenues.
  • Maintain a challenge process for business cases submitted by the Segment teams while ensuring efficient response times.
  • Maintain a post-implementation review process for material investments spent within the Segment teams.
Requirements
  • A qualified accountant or an MBA with specialization in Finance.
  • Between 8-12 years of post-qualification experience in the Finance function of a large bank with exposure to business finance.
  • Exposure to retail banking.
  • A thorough understanding of finance concepts, business performance management, and planning. Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to interact at senior management levels.
