We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our team at The Team Builders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for excellence, a creative flair, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring seamless service and exceptional quality.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation, maintaining consistency and quality standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Contribute to menu development, bringing innovative ideas to enhance the dining experience.
  • Manage kitchen operations during the Head Chef's absence, ensuring continuity and quality.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and exceptional customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef, with at least 2 years in a similar role, preferably in a high-pressure, upscale dining environment.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations, with a focus on innovation and creativity.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop junior staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure, think critically, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Creativity and a passion for food and culinary trends, with a willingness to experiment and innovate.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications and certifications, with a focus on continuous learning and professional development.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
