About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced AMET Program Management Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As an AMET Program Management Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the capacity, capital planning, and project execution for the continued expansion of our AMET (Africa, Middle East, and Turkey) fulfillment network.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Engineering Project/Program Management principles and practices. They will be able to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with internal Amazon teams and external partners to deliver CAPEX projects and innovations that meet business objectives.
  2. Establish and maintain governance structures to ensure consistent project and program delivery across the organization.
  3. Develop and implement integrated platform tools, information systems, and leverage analytics and data visualization to inform decision-making.
  4. Evaluate and refine existing working procedures and optimize organizational team structure.
  5. Prepare, submit, and track relevant Capex documentation to ensure on-time, within-budget, and best-value project completion.
  6. Communicate project status, drive decision-making, and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
  7. Oversee critical path schedule items and alert leadership to potential risks and delays.
  8. Support engineering capacity management for AMET.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience
  • 5+ years of cross-functional working experience with tech and non-tech teams
  • 5+ years of process improvement experience using data and metrics
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL knowledge
  • Experience in program requirement definition and data-driven improvement
  • Strong process building, project management, and scheduling skills
  • 5+ years of program strategy development and execution, influencing senior stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Operations, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of end-to-end delivery experience and results communication to senior leadership
  • 3+ years of process improvement experience
  • Effective stakeholder management experience
  • PMP certification
  • Fluent language skills in German, French, Polish, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, Zulu, or Portuguese
