Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Security Manager to join our team at Fairmont Mumbai. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Security Policy Development

Assist the Security Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard the hotel and its assets.

Team Leadership

Supervise security personnel and provide guidance, training, and support to ensure effective performance and high standards of security.

Security Operations

Conduct regular security patrols of the hotel premises, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas, to identify potential security risks and take proactive measures to mitigate them.

Incident Response

Monitor surveillance systems and respond promptly to any security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with local law enforcement agencies and other external stakeholders as needed.

Investigations and Reporting

Conduct thorough investigations into security breaches, thefts, or other incidents, and prepare detailed reports to inform security improvements and compliance with hotel policies and procedures.

Access Control and Compliance

Oversee the implementation of access control measures, including key management and visitor management systems, to ensure the security and integrity of hotel assets.

Collaboration and Communication

Collaborate with other departments to address security concerns and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures, maintaining effective communication with guests, employees, and external partners.

Professional Development

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in security management, applying this knowledge to enhance security protocols and procedures.

Requirements

  1. Security Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in security management, preferably in the hospitality industry, with a strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Leadership and Communication Skills

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, employees, and external partners.

Security Knowledge and Certifications

Knowledge of surveillance systems, access control systems, and other security technologies, with CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Flexibility and Availability

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a valid security license or certification as required by local regulations.
