Qualifications

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution with a minimum of twenty (20+) years in the execution of EPC contracts within the onshore Oil & Gas sector.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a comparable role for international major Onshore Oil & Gas EPC projects exceeding one billion US dollars, including a minimum of five (5) years in the GCC region.
  • Significant experience as a Project Manager in brownfield EPC Onshore projects, encompassing detailed engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, and providing assistance and supervision during start-up and commissioning phases.
  • Experience interfacing with relevant stakeholders, site operation teams, and EPC contractors during onshore installations.
  • Proficient in EPC contract management, planning, budgeting, scheduling, management of change (MOC), contractor selection, pre-qualification of bidders, preparation of scope of work, ITT packages, bid evaluations, and technical recommendations for procurement of long lead items.
  • Willingness to conduct site visits as necessary during critical activities, shutdowns, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and HSE leadership visits.
  • Engineering degree in any discipline.
  • Strong experience and exposure in ADNOC Onshore projects.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with a solid understanding of business issues.
  • Thorough knowledge of project management techniques and practices.
  • Deep understanding of project goals, drivers, and strategies.
  • Experience in developing and implementing success measures and benefits across multiple projects.
  • Ability to prioritize stakeholders and develop stakeholder management plans.
  • Experience interfacing with key stakeholders to establish, create, and maintain requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Good understanding of industry and company risk management processes, including qualitative assessment methods and some knowledge of quantitative assessment techniques.
  • Ability to utilize common estimating techniques to derive estimates and costs for standard projects.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC contract models, conditions, types, and their applicability in various situations.
  • Capable of delivering effective project initiation on multi-phase projects and producing project execution plans.
  • Familiarity with international and company quality assurance standards.
  • Knowledge of EPC commercial and contract conditions relevant to the procurement of various goods and services.
  • In-depth understanding of scheduling techniques, their properties, and applications.
  • Good knowledge and experience in project monitoring and forecasting.
  • Able to manage the change control process on projects involving multiple subcontractors and interfaces.
  • In-depth knowledge of all types of project information (deliverables) and their uses, with the capability to manage an information management project team.
  • Strong understanding of all handover and close-out activities required for customers, companies, and suppliers.
  • Understanding of cash flow management and projection/forecasting of costs at completion.
