Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commis Chef to join our team at Calo Inc. The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Chefs to ensure the efficient operation of our kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and sanitation.

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any issues to senior staff
  • Continuously develop culinary expertise to produce high-quality meals that meet our customers' expectations
  • Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients, sauces, and seasonings to exacting standards
  • Conduct inventory checks and request resupply as necessary to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Prepare meal items under the supervision of the chef de partie, ensuring presentation and taste meet our high standards
  • Dispose of spoiled items and adhere to strict sanitation and safety regulations
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude, working effectively with colleagues to achieve our goals
  • Produce visually appealing and delicious meal plates that meet our customers' expectations

Ideal Candidate

  • Must have 1-3 years of experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in the hospitality and catering industry
  • Must be currently residing in the UAE
  • Must possess excellent communication skills in English
  • Have a good understanding of food safety, health, and sanitation regulations
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility is a significant advantage
