Position OverviewWe are seeking a Procurement Officer for the Middle East & Africa region to enhance our operational team. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong communication skills and a solid background in operational procurement.
As the Procurement Officer, you will oversee all purchasing activities, managing both tactical and strategic procurement tasks within the MEA region. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Managing daily purchasing requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with established procurement policies throughout the procurement process.
- Coordinating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Aligning procurement activities with business objectives.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to assess demand and scheduling.
- Monitoring orders to ensure timely deliveries and managing rescheduling as needed.
- Conducting RFI/RFQs and providing insightful recommendations.
- Working alongside strategic procurement members to implement initiatives aimed at reducing costs and enhancing efficiency.
- Addressing and resolving complaints and claims.
- Maintaining and updating the Master Database.
- Assisting in the vendor registration process.
- Uploading vendor documentation into the system.
- Performing any additional tasks as assigned by management.
- A technical, commercial, or purchasing qualification or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of three years of experience in operational procurement.
- Experience in customer service or procurement with a proven ability to resolve complex issues.
- Strong knowledge of the purchase-to-pay process.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with SAP/R3/Ariba systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Strong collaborative skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Technical knowledge to identify similar products.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
