We're currently seeking an Electrical Inspector for our Abu Dhabi operations. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Delivery:
    • Interacting with clients and contractors to determine and verify project requirements.
    • Preparing inspection reports and site records.
    • Providing general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.
    • Identifying nonconforming works, generating reports, and coordinating responses.
  • Collaboration and Working as Part of a Team:
    • Working in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems and performing basic design calculations as required.
    • Conducting technical feasibility studies and site investigations.
    • Liaising with teams working remotely from other parts of the world to facilitate completion of tasks and projects.
  • Client Service Management:
    • Internal and external client liaison.
    • Ability to build and maintain lasting and positive relationships.
    • Experience in utility diversions and management.
  • Follow Safe Work Practices:
    • Following company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
    • Completing all work in line with Stantec's Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in construction supervision of water pumping station projects.
  • Experience in installation, testing, and supervision of electrical panels, cabling, earthing, lighting, and similar works.
  • Experience in installation, testing, and supervision of plant instrumentation and similar works.
  • Experience in installation, testing, and supervision of PLC panels and SCADA systems or similar works.
  • Valid UAE Driver's License.
  • Proficiency in MS Office to generate reports.
