About the Role

The Commercial Director will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and profitability for IHG Hotels & Resorts. This senior leadership position requires a strategic thinker with experience in revenue management, sales, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement revenue management strategies to achieve budgeted revenues and control costs
  • Collaborate with the GM and Finance team to maximize profits and prepare departmental budgets
  • Stay abreast of market trends and adjust strategies accordingly to enhance market share and competitiveness
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, hotel teams, and other key contacts
  • Support regional and hotel-level marketing teams to enhance visibility and performance
  • Manage daily sales activities, ensure adequate staffing, provide coaching and feedback, and create a positive working environment
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows and market events, and travel as needed to promote the hotel and develop new business opportunities

Requirements

  • PROVEN TRACK RECORD IN A SENIOR COMMERCIAL OR SALES ROLE WITHIN THE LUXURY HOTEL SECTOR
  • STRONG FINANCIAL ACUMEN, STRATEGIC THINKING, AND PROFICIENCY IN REVENUE MANAGEMENT AND SALES
  • EXCELLENT LEADERSHIP, COMMUNICATION, AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
  • Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred
