About the Role

At Olga Events, we are seeking a skilled and creative Florist to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for designing and creating beautiful floral arrangements for our clients' special occasions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, understanding their floral needs and preferences, and offering guidance on appropriate flowers and arrangements.
  • Floral Design: Use your creativity and expertise to design stunning floral arrangements, selecting the perfect flowers, foliage, and accessories to meet our clients' needs.
  • Flower Care: Ensure the freshness and quality of our flowers, receiving and inspecting shipments, processing and storing flowers, and maintaining optimal temperature, humidity, and lighting conditions.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain our inventory of flowers, plants, and floral supplies, ordering from wholesalers, tracking stock levels, and rotating stock to ensure we meet customer demands.
  • Floral Arrangement Assembly: Assemble floral arrangements based on client orders, combining flowers, foliage, and accessories to create visually appealing and balanced designs.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, cleaning and sanitizing work areas, display cases, and equipment, and arranging the display of flowers and plants to attract customers.
  • Event Coordination: Assist with floral arrangements for special events, collaborating with event planners and clients to understand event themes, colors, and budgets, and creating and delivering arrangements on-site.
  • Sales and Marketing: Promote our products and services to attract customers, participating in marketing initiatives, creating promotional materials, and providing recommendations for gift items and upselling additional products.
  • Floral Maintenance: Provide after-sales care instructions to customers, advising on watering, flower food usage, and other maintenance tips, and offering flower delivery services to ensure timely and safe transportation of arrangements.
  • Knowledge of Flowers and Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in floral design and flower varieties, providing expert advice on appropriate flower choices for specific occasions or sentiments.
