Job Summary:

The Restaurant Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Mexican restaurant in Dubai. This includes controlling profit and loss, managing inventory, labor, and financial reports, as well as ensuring the smooth flow of service between the beverage and kitchen teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Control profit and loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions.
  • Service Standards: Set an example in terms of service, products, and guidance of the team that reflects the concept.
  • Service Coordination: Coordinate between beverage and kitchen to ensure smooth flow of service.
  • Guest Experience: Manage and oversee the handling of guests, recommendation of food and beverage items, taking orders, and processing and presentation of guest bills.
  • Communication: Communicate any comments, complaints, and suggestions relating to the operation to the F&B Director.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper handling of all equipment as well as its cleanliness and state of maintenance.
  • Guest Feedback: Utilize the guest feedback to improve service standards and create and maintain a guest history file.
  • Closing Procedures: Ensure that all bills have been closed off at the end of the day and ensure each cash-up is complete.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct monthly inventory of operating supplies and equipment together with the restaurant team.

Requirements:

  • Education: A degree in hospitality management or a relevant field.
  • Experience: Prior experience in lifestyle/upscale venues is a MUST.
