About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Senior HSE Engineer to join our team at MatchaTalent. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across our global operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Leadership
    • Provide expert advice and guidance to department staff on maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards, and develop effective control measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs, including training and awareness initiatives, to promote a culture of safety across the organization.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those related to environmental protection.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement policies and procedures that support our health, safety, and environmental objectives.
  • Training and Development
    • Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on health, safety, and environmental best practices, and ensure that all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and suppliers to ensure that they are aware of our health, safety, and environmental expectations.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Monitor and analyze health, safety, and environmental performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement corrective actions to address any issues or concerns identified through monitoring and analysis.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, or environmental science.
    • Professional certifications, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Environmental Professional (CEP), are highly desirable.
  • Experience and Skills
    • At least 8 years of experience in a senior health, safety, and environmental role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health, safety, and environmental programs, and achieving significant improvements in performance metrics.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including employees, contractors, and external partners.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards, and develop effective control measures.
