About the Role:

The Planning Engineer will play a critical role in delivering EPC projects by developing and managing detailed project schedules, monitoring progress, and implementing strategies to ensure timely and within-budget completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop comprehensive project plans using Primavera P6 or similar software, ensuring accurate timelines and resource allocation.
  2. Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables, aligning with company objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  3. Establish project timelines and identify critical paths, facilitating effective project management and risk mitigation.
  4. Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against planned schedules, providing regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
  5. Prepare and present progress reports, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
  6. Identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions, ensuring project continuity and minimizing disruptions.
  7. Coordinate with various departments to ensure adequate resource allocation, optimizing project efficiency and productivity.
  8. Monitor and manage resource utilization, ensuring optimal allocation and minimizing waste.
  9. Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing impact on project timelines.
  10. Monitor and report on risk status, ensuring timely resolution of issues and maintaining project momentum.
  11. Assist in preparing project budgets and cost estimates, ensuring accurate financial planning and management.
  12. Monitor project costs and expenses, ensuring adherence to the approved budget and identifying areas for cost savings.
  13. Analyze cost variances and implement cost-saving measures, ensuring optimal financial performance.
  14. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and change orders.
  15. Ensure compliance with all project-specific regulations, standards, and quality requirements, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  16. Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project team members, clients, and contractors, ensuring seamless project execution.
  17. Address stakeholder concerns and provide timely updates on project status and issues, maintaining a high level of transparency and accountability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in planning and scheduling within EPC projects.
  • Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and best practices, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding stakeholder expectations.
