Job Summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to join our team in delivering EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for developing and managing detailed project schedules, monitoring progress, and implementing strategies to ensure timely and within-budget completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans using Primavera P6 or similar software, defining project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Project Monitoring and Control: Establish project timelines, identify critical paths, and monitor project progress, comparing actual performance against planned schedules.
  • Progress Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to project managers and stakeholders, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with various departments to ensure adequate resource allocation, optimizing project efficiency.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and manage project costs and expenses, ensuring adherence to the approved budget, and analyzing cost variances to implement cost-saving measures.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including schedules, progress reports, and change orders, ensuring compliance with all project-specific regulations, standards, and quality requirements.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Facilitate effective communication and coordination among project team members, clients, and contractors, addressing stakeholder concerns and providing timely updates on project status and issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in planning and scheduling within EPC projects.
  • Skills: Proficiency in project planning software such as Primavera P6, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
